In September 2020, Freckles found herself homeless after being picked up by animal control as a stray and taken to Happy Paws, in Checotah, OK.  They immediately knew there was something wrong with Freckles' legs - she is able to walk in a modified manner, but unable to straighten her rear legs. This is due to a condition requiring a procedure called a Tibial Tuberosity Advancement - unfortunately she will require this on both knees to be able to walk normal again. Happy Paws reached out to us in March 2021 to see if we could welcome Freckles into our program; how could we say no to that face! We all agree, Freckles is a picture of perfection - she has not met a dog, cat or human she didn't love. She never stops smiling, and wants nothing but your love. We are dedicated to getting Freckles the surgery she needs to regain full mobility, but we need your help!
