PROGRAMS
Paws-N-Claws Iowa is made up of a number of programs that drive our organization. All of our programs are ran by our Board Members and Volunteers. We work to bring all areas of animal welfare together, with a focus on behavior modification, bridging the gap between rescue and commercial breeders, and helping to promote responsible pet ownership in our communities.
Foster Care
Our Foster Care Program asks community members to open their doors to our animals who need some TLC. Fostering is one of the most important ways you can help the animals of Paws-N-Claws Iowa. By providing our temporary residents shelter for just a small amount of time, it helps save lives.
Education
Beginning Spring of 2021 we will be offering basic training and pet first aid classes at our adoption center in Newton!

Outreach Services
Working alongside reward based, force free trainers we offer the dogs in our program the best opportunity at placement. We have a limited number of openings each year for dogs with behavior concerns facing euthanasia in the traditional shelter setting.
Helping keep animals in loving homes is a priority - we will assist with food, vaccines, and spay/neuter services to residents in Jasper County that qualify.
Volunteer
We welcome volunteers of all ages to participate within our organization - we have a variety of ways everyone can help - fostering, at home enrichment projects, data entry and more.
